Fairly regularly, folks comment on this site either offering their Quickstep for sale or seeking a boat to buy.   I’ve noticed that those comments get scattered on a number of pages and may not get noticed.  So to help make getting in touch with one another a bit easier, I’m adding this page and encouraging you to comment here if you are looking for a Quickstep or have one for sale.  I hope this helps.  Please limit comments here to potential purchases and good luck!

By the way, I tried to move all of the previously posted comments about available boats and buyers to this page, but the technology won’t permit it.  So feel free to write again if you want.

  1. Hi. I’m contemplating selling my 24. Terrific shape. The two+ hour drive from home to marina gets harder as seventy is in my rear view mirror.

    1. Pushed send too soon. Apologies. A 1987 with a solid 9.9 Honda. Good jib and very good genoa. Rocna 10 anchor. Located in Groton, CT. Wood in very good condition.

    2. Hello Andrew,

I have a Q24 with just a working jib and have been contemplating a Genoa. What are the dimensions of yours and do you have any advice?

      Thanks! Steve in Annapolis, Maryland.

      1. Steve: Consider asking if anyone has a head sail in storage in the Quickstep 24 section of this site. Most of us who upgraded to roller furling still have our old head sails hanging around and will never use them again.. I’m assuming you’re looking for a Hank on type sail in the 130 + range?? You didn’t say. Maybe get one for a surprisingly good price.

  2. Hello All,

After 15 years of ownership, I am reluctantly retiring at the end of this season. My 1988 Quickstep 24 (Hull #173) is currently moored in Mattapoisett harbor. The boat is in overall good shape and is powered by a 8HP Yamaha four stroke purchased new in 2020. I can be reached by email at marcelandlili@yahoo.com. Asking $12,000.

  3. Hello

We are looking to purchase a quickstep. its such a lovely boat and we are downsizing from our 31’ Herreshoff. It seems to have both character and ease of handling. Does anyone know of one that is available or might be in the foreseeable future?

    Thank you

    Sarah

      1. John, in case you’re still looking, I have a very solid Quickstep 24 for sale in slip F-15 at the Washington Sailing Marina in Alexandria, VA. Only recently purchased but a back injury forces sale. I had both the standing and running rigging replaced by Harney Yacht Rigging in May, while also having the bottom painted and the white hull waxed and buffed at my marina’s shop. The low-hours 6 h.p. Tohatsu four-stroke received a complete tune-up, including the servicing of the lower unit. I have all receipts. The teak trim could use some attention, and the four cabin ports are crazed but no leaks. Appropriately priced at $6,000. Email or phone/text me for pictures and information.

    2. If still available, I would be interested in more information and photos to decide if a trip to Freeport is in my future.

    3. Hi Anthony,
I live in South Freeport and I’m guessing your boat is Glimmer which is moored out in the harbor. I owned a Quickstep a few years ago and regret selling it ever since. My problem is getting a mooring around here. Would your mooring be an available somehow?
Would you like to co-own the boat?
      Thanks,
      Carol Nale

      1. Hi,
I have a Quickstep 21, but no trailer. I live in Northern, VA. I need to move the boat and would like like to purchase a trailer but I cannot find a sailboat trailer that doesn’t cost more that the boat, and of course it would have to fit my boat. I can find regular boat trailers. How difficult would it be to modify a motor boat trailer carry my sailboat.
        Thanks,
        Tom
